These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the website vermuteria-portuguesa.com, as well as the purchase of products through the online store. By accessing and using this website, the user declares to have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions.
The use of this website and the purchase of alcoholic beverages are exclusively for persons aged 18 or over. By making a purchase, the customer confirms that they meet the legal age to purchase alcoholic beverages.
To place orders, the customer must create a user account on our online store, providing true, complete and up-to-date data.
All products available in the online store are subject to stock availability. The prices indicated include VAT at the legal rate in force and are expressed in Euros (€).
Vermuteria Portuguesa reserves the right to change product prices at any time without prior notice. However, the prices applicable to an order shall always be those in force at the time of order confirmation.
In case of an obvious typographical error in the price of a product, Vermuteria Portuguesa reserves the right to cancel the order, proceeding to the full refund of the amount paid.
Vermuteria Portuguesa offers the following payment methods, processed in a secure environment by authorised and supervised third-party entities:

Vermuteria Portuguesa does not store complete credit or debit card data. This data is processed directly by the payment service providers, in compliance with the PCI-DSS standard.
Delivery times and costs vary according to destination:
Mainland Portugal: from 4.00 € (free above 125 €) — 1 to 3 business days
Islands (Azores and Madeira): from 12.00 € — 5 to 10 business days
Europe: from 15.00 € — 1 to 5 business days
Rest of the World: upon request — variable time
Deliveries are made by the carriers CTT, DHL, TNT, FedEx and BOU Express, depending on the destination region. The times indicated are estimates and may vary depending on external factors.
Upon receipt of the order, the customer must check the condition of the packaging and the products. In case of damage during transport, the customer must report the situation within 48 hours, sending photographs of the damage to info@vermuteria-portuguesa.com.
All products shipped outside the European Union are subject to the payment of VAT and possible customs duties of the destination country, regardless of their value.
The importer (the buyer) is legally responsible for declaring the goods and paying the taxes required by the Tax Authority of the destination country. If the recipient refuses to pay the duties, the order may be destroyed or returned to the sender, with the return transport costs also being charged to the Customer/Buyer.
Under Article 10 of Portuguese Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of 14 February, which transposes Directive 2011/83/EU on distance contracts, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of receipt of the goods, without the need to indicate any reason and without any penalty.
This right applies to all items, including those purchased on promotion.
How to exercise the right of withdrawal:
1.Communicate the decision of withdrawal in writing to info@vermuteria-portuguesa.com, indicating the order number. The consumer may use the model withdrawal form provided in Annex B of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, although its use is not mandatory.
2.Return the product(s) in their original condition, unopened, with the label and capsule/seal intact, within a maximum of 14 days from the communication.
3.The direct costs of returning the goods are borne by the customer.
The refund will be made within a maximum of 14 days after receipt and verification of the returned product(s), using the same payment method, and Vermuteria Portuguesa may delay this refund until receipt of the returned goods or proof of their dispatch.
Exclusions to the right of withdrawal (under article 17 of DL 24/2014):
Excluded from the right of withdrawal are products which, for reasons of health protection or hygiene, have been opened after delivery or whose seal/capsule has been removed or damaged after receipt, as well as goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
All products sold by Vermuteria Portuguesa benefit from the legal warranty of conformity provided for in Portuguese Decree-Law No. 84/2021, of 18 October, for a period of 3 years from delivery. In case of non-conformity, the customer has the right to restore conformity through repair or replacement of the goods, price reduction or termination of the contract.
